Second Grade Class
There is a lot to be accomplished during this second trimester. The children will be advancing their reading skills and text levels, and writing responses about what's been read by citing the evidence in the text.
STAR testing and individual reading assessments take place during the month of January.
They will be writing opinions, doing research and reporting on their findings, and writing narratives.
The new math skills will include subtracting with regrouping, time and money, and lots of problem solving.
So you can see, we have busy days ahead.
Please set aside homework time . The children need time to practice what they have been learning.
